The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report says that emotional intelligence will be one of the top 10 job skills in 2020. We know that managers are valuing more and more emotional intelligence, often surpassing technical skills and IQ. People who show an enhanced ability to adapt to change, manage their emotions, and work well with a diverse range of people are already valuable in most workplaces. And why is this happening? In this article we find seven reasons why hiring managers value more emotion intelligence than IQ.
