WHY EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE?
Everyday pressure, deadlines, people with whom we relate, decisions we have to make. All of this triggers emotional reactions that we can’t always understand. Emotions exist and they are present in everything we do, there is no way of denying it even if Science shows us the evidence. The question is: how can we live with our emotions in a healthy and constructive way?
Emotional Intelligence enables us to learn how to transform potentially destructive emotional reactions into constructive responses. It all begins with the self-awareness of our own emotions, which is a crucial factor of survival inside and outside organizations.
Emotional Intelligence: what for?
How many times have you found yourself wishing you had not reacted that way with your son? How many times have you wondered how to make that important decision? And at work, do relationships always have to be so difficult?
All these situations have a something in common: emotions. Learning how to manage them is the basic thing to do for a better general well-being and a more fulfilled life. The knowledge acquired can be applied in different contexts:
Emotions are, therefore, in our daily action and in the decisions we make. And yet we try to ignore them.
The good news are that it’s possible to develop Emotional Intelligence and this development will impact you personally and professionally.
