Team – META TEAM

What is META TEAM?

The Meta Team approach was developed by Rob Shaw in collaboration with Harvard and McKinsey & Co. Over the last 15 years, Meta Team has been tested and refined through working with more than 1,200 teams.

Each team’s success results from a deeper understanding of itself as a group and a constant commitment to challenging itself to reach the next level.

Team development requires a collective commitment to a structured journey that suits the team, aligns with their working patterns and transforms their potential as a group.

META TEAM answers three fundamental questions:

  • What needs to be worked on?
  • Where to start?
  • How to generate immediate impact?

Our model for high-performance teams is based on an objective, data-driven diagnosis capable of identifying blind spots and hidden strengths within teams.

How does it work?

The team development solution is based on 8 internal and external habits of high-performance teams. These habits were identified through research with over 1000 teams, then validated with behavioural scientists and tested globally over a 12-year period. These habits underpin the data-based team diagnosis that identifies potential blind spots and hidden strengths in teams.

We use team types to sequence the ideal development path, made up of intensive 90-minute work sessions that promote accelerated growth. These sessions have been rigorously tested and implemented in hundreds of teams around the world.

Each development path is personalised, adapted and implemented seamlessly into the team’s workflow, ensuring that development doesn’t interrupt their activities. The solutions we offer are culturally appropriate and relevant to the specific needs of each team.
