So this is Christmas and what have you done?
Another year over, a new one just begun.
John Lennon ask us this question that, year after year, keeps us thinking about everything that happened and what we did (or didn’t do). It´s a time of balance and often of (re)definition of paths.
But then it’s Christmas and what are we doing now?
Probably living the spirit of the time but with which it also comes the stress of having everything ready, the traffic lines and the crowds that test our limits.
Mr. John Lennon, let’s not think about the year that has passed but how we can make this time the best possible.
1. Between company parties, dinners with friends and/or family, gifts… This could really be an emotional roller coaster. More than ever (and lack of time cannot be an excuse!) it´s necessary to stop. Think about it: What am I feeling? What caused this? Challenge yourself to do this and you will realize that this awareness will help you better deal with everything you have to do and live this time in its fullness.

2. Are you really worried and spending your time with what matters the most? Between multiple tasks and meeting deadlines we can go into “autopilot” mode and do not always stop to see if the time is being used in the best way. Stop and do a reality check to make sure you’re making the best decisions.

3. We know that if there’s a time in the year that we most are with colleagues and friends, it will probably be this Christmas season. But are you really with the most significant people? Set up a meeting with those people who are really important to you at work or in your personal life. Choose one or two people and give them special attention.

4. Yes, we have to talk about stress. There’re only a few days until Christmas and there’s still so much to do. Although it is a time of year that seems to appeal to peace, apparently there’s everything but inner peace. Do you usually play sports all year round? Be sure to do it also now even if you think there’s no time. Exercise will make you deal with everything else more efficiently and calmly. Don’t you usually exercise? Try starting meditation every morning to start the day in a more peaceful way. And by the way, if you don’t practice exercise, here’s a good resolution for next year.

5. It´s Christmas and it seems that all television and radio ads appeal to the need to turn to other people. But do we really do that? Try to be with a person every day and really pay attention, focus on them and give them your time. It´s the best gift you can give to her/him.

6. Looking at the year that’s finishing, what did you achieve? What are your achievements? Think since January 2019 about everything you’ve done and write on paper. What was left to do? Use this to set small goals for 2020. Be realistic and concrete in the goals you set.

We’re still going to add another point. Thank you for being part of our path in 2019.
Merry Christmas!
