The way that emotions affect our general well-being is granted in Emotional Intelligence’s study. This article shows how positive and negative emotions can also influence and impact on our health. Science has been paying attention to the connection between mind and body and the way that it works. Arjun Walia, the article’s author, based on the several studies of the HeartMath Institute, on epigenetics, on the placebo effect and even on the quantum physics, has any doubt saying that “negative emotions feed several different types of ailments and diseases within the body, regardless of whether or not we don’t quite understand it fully, the connection is clearly there and that seems to be firmly established in scientific literature”.

Applying The MBTI in a Sales Optimization Model

The investigation we are presenting was made by P4S’s partner Fernando Pedro Novais, Professor and Investigator Anastassios Perdicoulis (UTAD, FEUP and Oxford, UK) and  Cristina Alves (UTAD) between September 2015 and July 2016.

The main goal was to create a sales optimized model, by applying MBTI®. For that, in the model development was included a company that was going through a transformation process from telecommunication to IT field.

In order to achieve more efficiency, it was decided to:

  1. Capacitate its sales force to work with client profiles
  2. Create a prototype sales procedure with the help of MBTI®;
  3. Diversify sales introducing IT services.

It was created a quick diagnostics to identify client profiles, by applying MBTI® to optimize sales model.

When Alfred Binet developed his “intelligence” tests in the early years of the 20th century, he revolutionized the educational field by providing tools to measure and predict students’ success.
